
Bighorns Fourth Quarter Surge Falls Short

RENO, NV - Despite the Bighorns netting 35 points in the final quarter and Vince Hunter logging a double-double, the Bighorns fell 115-106 to the Austin Spurs Tuesday night at the Reno Events Center.
Ricky Ledo paced the Bighorns with 31 points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Vince Hunter logged his third double-double of the season, scoring 24 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and going 11-22 from the field in the Tuesday night contest. Erick Green totaled 22 points, three rebounds and four assists.
In the first quarter, Ledo led the Bighorns with 10 points and two rebounds. Duje Dukan, who is on assignment from the Sacramento Kings, notched seven points in the quarter as Hunter tallied four points and three assists.
Green paced the Bighorns in the second quarter with eight points and going 3-5 from the field. Ledo and Hunter netted seven points each and added three rebounds each.
Going into the locker room at the half, the Bighorns trailed the Spurs 57-51.
Reggie Hearn led the Bighorns in the third quarter with six points. Ledo followed Hearn closely with five points, two rebounds and two assists. Hunter had four points and four rebounds.
The Bighorns rallied in the final quarter, outscoring the Spurs 35-23 and going 14-23 (60.9%) from the field compared to the Spurs going 9-17 (52.9%) from the field. Ledo and Hunter caught on fire in the final quarter notching nine points each as Ledo totaled three rebounds. Green finished the quarter with seven points and one rebound.
The Bighorns travel to Texas for their next contest to face the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Friday, Dec. 4 at 5 p.m.
