Bighorns Fall to Texas on the Road

FRISCO, TEX., Mar. 11, 2015- Despite two Bighorns logging double-doubles and Sim Bhullar going 100% from the field, the Bighorns fell 142-125 to the Texas Legends Wednesday night in Frisco, TX.

David Stockton led the Bighorns dishing out 32 points while adding 15 assists and three rebounds. Ra'shad James followed Stockton closely with 32 points and three rebounds. Bighorns forward David Wear had 18 points and 12 rebounds while Tajuan Porter tallied 13 points, five assists and three rebounds during the contest. Bhullar finished with eight points and six rebounds.

Dwight Powell led the Legends with 33 points, six rebounds and four assists. Mike James had 22 points, two rebounds and eight assists.

Stockton paced the Bighorns in the first quarter with 11 points and three assists while James notched 10 points. Wear, who went 2-3 in the quarter totaled six points and four rebounds. Bhullar and Porter had four points each in the first while Porter tallied three assists.

In the second, James had 13 points and two rebounds. Stockton notched a total of eight points and six assists in the quarter while Wear and Christian Watford had five points each.

The Bighorns went into the locker room at the half trailing the Legends 87-71.

James went 10-17 in the first half while Stockton totaled nine assists.

During the third quarter, the Bighorns went 12-22 (54.5%) from the field compared to the Legends 12-25 (48.0%). Stockton amassed nine points and four rebounds in the quarter. James had a total of eight points while Bhullar netted four points.

Porter led the Bighorns in the final quarter of play with seven points. Cameron Ayers and David Wear had five points each in the fourth while Wear grabbed three rebounds. David Stockton finished the quarter with four rebounds and two assists.

The Bighorns shot 51.2% from the field during the second half of play compared to the Legends 46.8%.

The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Saturday, March 14 at 7 p.m. to face the Bakersfield Jam.
