
Bighorns Fall Short to the Jam

RENO, NV - David Stockton's double-double wasn't enough to push the Bighorns past the Bakersfield Jam Saturday night, as the Bighorns took a 118-127 loss at home.
Stockton dished out 32 points, five rebounds and 11 assists leading the Bighorns during the contest. Dar Tucker, who is fresh to the Bighorns roster, had 19 points and six rebounds while Ra'Shad James had 18 points, two rebounds and four assists.
Jerel McNeal led the Jam totaling 36 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Joe Jackson followed McNeal closely totaling 29 points and adding 10 assists for the Jam.
During the first quarter, Stockton notched nine points and added three assists. James tallied six points in the quarter while Wear added five points, three assists and two rebounds. Stockton went 3-5 from the field and 2-3 from behind the arc in the quarter.
James had eight points in the second quarter while Wear had six points and two rebounds. Stockton totaled five points, three assists and three rebounds in the second.
At the half, the Bighorns trailed the Jam 64-58. James shot 50% (6-12) from the field during the first two quarters.
Stockton led the Bighorns in the third quarter with 10 points. Bhullar had six points and four rebounds in the quarter.
During the final quarter in play, Tucker notched 14 points and five rebounds. Stockton tallied eight points and four assists in the final quarter.
The Bighorns went 57.5% from the field during the second half of play compared to the Jam's 52.5%.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Saturday, March 17 at 7 p.m. to take-on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
