
Bighorns Fall Short to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, IND. - The Reno Bighorns fell 129-114 to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants Tuesday night at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Bighorns were led by Erick Green with 20 points and four rebounds. Vince Hunter followed green closely, posting 19 points and 12 rebounds. The Tuesday night contest marks the eleventh double-double Hunter has logged in 14 contests. Sacramento Kings assignment player, Duje Dukan finished the contest with 16 points and five rebounds.
Dukan led the Bighorns in the first half with eight points and two rebounds. Green tallied six points and two rebounds in the quarter as Ricky Ledo had four points, two rebounds and two assists.
Reggie Hearn caught fire in the second quarter, leading the Bighorns in the quarter with 11 points and two rebounds. Hearn went 4-6 from the field and 3-4 from the three-point range in the quarter. David Stockton had five points while Chad Toppert had five points in the second. The Bighorns outscored the Mad Ants 27-16 in the quarter.

Green led the Bighorns in the third quarter with eight points and three assists as Dukan added six points for the Bighorns. Hunter and Stockton notched five points each in the quarter.
During the final quarter, Hunter netted 11 points and grabbed three rebounds. Cliff Hammonds and Green totaled four points each in the fourth as Mark Tyndale had three points.
The Bighorns continue on the road, traveling to Des Moines, Iowa to face the Iowa Energy at 5 p.m. (PST) before returning to the Reno Events Center Wednesday, Dec. 30 to host the Bakersfield Jam.
