Big weekend in Gwinnett

Gwinnett, GA. Embry Malone, CEO of the ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies today announced a big weekend of activities for the pro basketball expansion team. On Friday, June 11, at 12 noon, the new Head Coach will be introduced at the Suwanee Sports Academy in Suwanee, GA. In addition, Malone will introduce the General Manager and assistant coaches.

On Saturday, registration will begin at 830am for the Gwizzlies first free agent tryout camp that will be held on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday June 13. The Gwizzlie team advisor is former Boston Celtic great Dennis Johnson - who along with top coaches and scouts will be evaluating talent. According to Malone, "We know that there are great area players who want to play pro ball - those are the guys we're looking for - strong, recognizable talent - that will compete with great ABA teams. We hope there is a large turnout."
