
Big Crowd, Big Win For Red-Hot Ice

BIG CROWD, BIG WIN: The Ice improved their all-time record on "Pack the House" nights to 3-3-0 with a 6-2 victory over Team USA in front of 10,974 fans Sunday afternoon at Conseco Fieldhouse. Max Cook led the attack with three points (2G, A), while Anthony Bitetto, Kevin Goumas, Blake Coleman and Jacob Fallon also potted goals. Cab Morris was the winner in net as Indy also bettered their all-time Conseco Fieldhouse mark to 6-4-3.
SEVEN #11: Forward Kevin Goumas (#11) extended his Ice season-best point streak to seven games with two-point outings in both wins over Team USA over the weekend. The first-year USHL'er is on a scoring binge as he has amassed 13 points (3G, 10A) during his seven-game stretch.
OTHER MACHINES: In addition to Goumas, the Ice has several other "scoring machines" who are riding hot offensive streaks. Anthony Bitetto is on a six-game point streak and has a whopping 19 points (7G, 12A) in his last ten games. David Johnstone is carrying a five-game point streak (3G, 5A) into this week's action and Blake Coleman has a goal in four consecutive games. From the nets, goaltender Casey DeSmith has won his last six starts between the pipes.
HOMIN' IN: Indiana has won seven consecutive games on home ice and has outscored their opponents during those seven victories 40-14. In addition, the club has boasted a 35.9% power play clip and an 88.9% penalty killing mark during the winning run.
NOTEWORTHY: Max Cook registered his seventh multi-goal game of his Ice career on Sunday and in the process moved into third on the all-time Ice charts for career goals in an Indy uniform (38)...Anthony Bitetto is second among USHL d-men in points (37) and first in game-winning goals (5)...The Ice is 18-5-0 against the East Division...Antti Roppo has 12 points (7G, 5A) in his last ten games.
COLLEGIATE CIRCLE: Eddie Del Grosso (2004-06) was named #1 star after scoring a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win for UNO over Bemidji State on Saturday...Mike Hull (2005-07) distributed four assists in Army's 8-6 victory over American International Saturday...Aaron Bendickson (2005-06) tallied two goals in Wisconsin's 5-2 win over Michigan Tech on Saturday.
