Chilliwack Bruins News Release
The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to announce that 17 year old defenceman James Bettauer has signed with the team.
Last year, the 6'1 18lb native of Burnaby BC was a member of the BCHL's Penticton Vees, registering three assists and 16 minutes in penalties in 43 regular season games.
"We are very pleased that James has chosen the Western Hockey League and the Chilliwack Bruins to pursue his hockey goals," commented Bruins General Manager Darrell May. "James is an outstanding prospect. He's a very good skater with good puck skills. He should be able to contribute right away."
Bettauer will be at the Bruins training camp which begins August 21st at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack.
