
Benefit Dinner to be Held for Fallen Maine Freeze Player

(PORTLAND, ME) -- On February 15, from 6-11p.m. the Maine Freeze Women's Football Team will host a dinner and party in honor of teammate, Barbara Wentworth of Saco. Barbara is a 25-year-old defensive end stricken by a stroke on December 28, 2002. The team's efforts will be to help raise funds to help Barbara and her husband, Matt, with the astronomical costs of such a crisis in their young lives. Barbara is presently in in-patient rehabilitation in Portsmouth, NH to be close to her mom who lives in S. Berwick and her husband, Matt who works in Portsmouth.
The benefit dinner will be held at the Marriott at Sable Oaks, in South Portland. Evening events include dinner followed by karaoke, "Maine Freeze Trivia", a cash and gift raffle, and fun door prizes!
Friends, families, fans and the public are invited. Tickets are $25.00 per person. To purchase your tickets call Linda Parker at events@mainefreeze.com or call the Maine Freeze office at 1-866-GO-FREEZE. Tickets will be on sale until February 11. Tickets may also be purchased as a donation only, if you are unable to attend the event.
