Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - As Nashville SC and Atlanta United 2 prepare for the first match between the clubs in 2019, we take a look at what ATL UTD 2's saying in advance of the Saturday night match in Kennesaw, Ga.
Star Wars Day
With the match on May 4, Fifth Third Bank Stadium and Atlanta United 2 are celebrating Star Wars Day. There will be Star Wars characters around the stadium for fans to take pictures with, and the club is encouraging all fans to dress as Star Wars characters themselves for the match.
Bello Injury
One of Atlanta United's most talented youngsters will be out for the foreseeable future due to injury. The 17-year-old MLS-prospect defender who has made one appearance for ATL UTD 2 this season before coming off with an injury, will miss the next 2-3 months as he recovers from a muscle strain.
Glass Quotes
ATL UTD 2 head coach Stephen Glass gave some comments to the club's website in advance of the match related to his tactics.
"Tactically, week-on-week, we are pretty similar," said Glass. "I think we are trying to play a pressing style, we are trying to look after the ball when we have it, we are trying to build out of the back - all of the things we are expecting the young players going through the Academy are things I'm sure people expect to see when the First Team plays as well. That was the focus,
it still is the focus and nothing has really changed. We see individual things that we think we can work on, things that guys have done really well that we will build on."
