Omaha Beef News Release

Omaha, Nebraska – From Rushville, Nebraska, the 293lb 6-4 offensive lineman hasn't wondered far from his roots. As a boy Beguin was taught never to forget where you come from, because in the end that is all you have left. "My family is a large part of my life. My father has been my mentor and a friend." Said Beguin. Cody attended undergrad school at Chadron State College where he was rewarded the honors of 2nd Team All-American as an Offensive Lineman.

Being the youngest sibling of 7 kids, you become a little self-focused. "I think of myself as being a determined person almost to the point of being bull headed, with a down home attitude." Said Beguin. Cody has brought that determination and self will to the Omaha Beef becoming one of the bright young stars on the team. When feeling down or needing inspiration, Cody thinks back to his favorite quote that the great Muhammad Ali once said. "If you ever dream of beating me you better wake up and apologize." When asked why did you come to the Beef, Beguin stated, "I feel as a 24 year old man being able to play the game I love and having a chance to win."

Beguin currently is attending grad school at the University of Nebraska at Omaha studying to become a therapist. " The job I have right now has me in a practicum under a therapist allowing me the opportunity to have hands on experience, which I truly enjoy." Cody feels that this job will give him great experience for when he does graduate grad school.

When Beguin has free time he likes to play 18 holes of golf, hunt, play a game of softball or watch the movie Revenge of the Nerds.
