
Bees to Host Weekend Games

BURLINGTON, IOWA - The Burlington Bees are celebrating America's birthday by enjoying the national pastime at Community Field. Games all weekend long starting on Thursday, July 1st and concluding with an afternoon game on Independence Day.
This season the Bees have been recognizing all the hard work and sacrifice made by those in our community by honoring groups at different games. This Thursday, July 1st we are proud to be honoring our military and veterans on Military Appreciation Night, sponsored by Burlington AMVETS Post 29. All currently serving men and women (active & reserve) and their immediate family, all veterans, all families of deployed military will get into the game for free. The Bees are proud to honor them at the game and hope to see many service members at Community Field on Thursday," said Tad Lowary, Manager of Operations.
It's a doubleheader with the Normal Cornbelters that evening with gates opening at 5 PM and the first game starts at 5:30 PM. The first game the Burlington Bees will be the visiting team as this game was originally to be played on June 18 at Normal, but was rained out. The second game the Bees will take the field as the official home team.Friday, July 2nd the Bees take on the Clinton LumberKings at 6:30 PM with gates opening at 5:30 PM.Saturday, July 3rd is our Patriotic Independence Day Weekend Celebration with our annual Fireworks Extravaganza! The Bees will take the field versus Clinton at 6:30 PM and the gates will open at 5:30 PM.
The Bees will celebrate America on July 4th with an afternoon game versus the O'Fallon Hoots at 2 PM with gates opening at 1 PM.TONIGHT, the Bees are back home playing the Alton River Dragons at 6:30 PM for Pups and Pints Night, where all dogs get in free and the first 100 fans get a Rookie Bobble dog. Fans can purchase one of 25 of our Pups and Pints Ticket Packages that includes the game ticket, a drink voucher, a special collector's cup and special dog treat....first come, first serve at the ticket window. There are drink specials on Parkside Brewing Co. brews (including a special one we are tapping tonight) and specials on Miller Lite and Coors Light 16 oz. Tallboys. It is also Tacos and Tallboys Tuesday sponsored by Queso's Mexican Grill, with taco specials in concessions AND $5 general admission tickets at the ticket window.
