
Beavers Face Salt Lake in Homestand

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers open a four-game homestand today at PGE Park as they play host to a series against the Salt Lake Bees. Highlighting the series is the Beavers' final US Bank Art & Science of Baseball School Day presented by Intel.
The homestand between the Beavers and Bees begins with a Fred Meyer $4 Tuesday. During the day, a select number of general admission tickets will be available for just $4 through the PGE Park box office and local Fred Meyer locations.
The two clubs play the third game of the series on a Miller Lite Thursday at PGE Park. Prior to the first pitch, fans can enjoy food and beverage specials from 6-7 p.m. in the Widmer Garden.
On Friday, the Beavers conclude the homestand with their final US Bank Art & Science of Baseball School Day presented by Intel this season. Featuring a pre-game assembly and hands-on activities from OMSI, Portland-area kids get to experience the ultimate field trip at the ballpark. Gates open at 9 a.m.; the game begins at 11:05 a.m.
Tickets for the Beavers' homestand against Salt Lake, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, are available through the PGE Park box office, area Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 745-3000. For all Tuesday home games in 2010, 200 general admission tickets will be available for just $4 through the PGE Park box office and Ticketmaster outlets at local Fred Meyer locations.
Wednesday, June 2 Win-Win Wednesday - Beavers vs. Salt Lake - 7:05 p.m. The four-game series between the Beavers and Salt Lake continues with a Tropical Smoothie Win-Win Wednesday. If the Beavers can defeat the Bees, each fan will receive a free smoothie coupon courtesy of Tropical Smoothie. Fans can also redeem their ticket from Wednesday's game for entry into a future Sunday-Wednesday Beavers home game.
Thursday, June 3 Miller Lite Thursday - Beavers vs. Salt Lake - 7:05 p.m. On a Miller Lite Thursday, the Beavers take on the Pacific North Division-leading Bees at PGE Park. Enjoy a variety of food and beverage specials prior to the first pitch from 6-7 p.m. in the Widmer Garden.
Friday, June 4 US Bank Art & Science of Baseball School Day - Beavers vs. Salt Lake - 11:05 a.m. The Beavers wrap up their homestand with a special US Bank Art & Science of Baseball School Day presented by Intel on a Zenner's $1 Menu Friday. Portland-area kids descend on PGE Park for a day of fun and learning, featuring special exhibits and a pre-game presentation from OMSI; gates open at 9 a.m. During the game, select menu items, including Zenner's hot dogs, Sierra Springs water and Fudgesicle and Creamsicle treats, will be available for only $1.
