Hudson Valley Bears News Release
The Hudson Valley Bears will play two games this coming week, including a home game on Saturday night at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie against I-84 rival, the Danbury Mad Hatters. The Bears dropped two tough games on the road last week, losing 5-2 at Jersey on Friday (12/5) and losing in the last minute of play, 4-3, at Danbury on Saturday (12/6).

In the Bears Spotlight
Hudson Valley goaltender Len DiCostanzo was certainly the Bears MVP last week. Although the team came up short on the scoreboard, the twenty-three year old native of Port Jefferson Station, New York kept his team in both games last week. In games against Jersey & Danbury, Len faced 107 shots on goal, stopping 98 of them for an outstanding save percentage of 91.6%. In the contest against Danbury, he faced 60 shots in the Bears 4-3 defeat. DiCostanzo played last season for Mississippi & Charlotte (ECHL) and for Richmond (SPHL).
