Bears Host 2010 Jersey Auction

(Newark, N.J., Sept. 16, 2010) - Have you ever wanted to know what it feels like to suit up and take the field at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium? Well, you can't take a swing, but you can wear the actual jersey of one of your favorite Bears. The Bears are proud to be holding a jersey auction of game-worn jerseys from the 2010 season.
The auction will be held online with fans emailing in their bids for their favorite jersey, either home or away. All Jerseys will begin at $75.00, with bids in $5 increments. Email your bids to Merchandise and Client Services Manager Pierson Smythe at psmythe@newarkbears.com. Please include your full name, address and phone number.
Fans can start sending in their bids and the auction will close at 12:00am on Friday, October 1. The highest bid will be updated daily with the highest bidder taking home the jersey. Jerseys will be shipped for an additional $10 on top of the winning bid and will go out beginning October 4.
