Port Huron, MI â The Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League (UHL) announce the start of the Inaugural Season. The Beacons are host to the Kalamazoo Wings Friday, October 11, 2002 at 7:05 PM. The Beacons home will be the McMorren Place Arena located in the heart of down town Port Huron.
Arrive to the game early Friday and the first 2,000 fans through the doors receive their own Beacon Light courtesy of Dr. Mullally Family Practice. Get your lights and support your Port Huron Beacons to their first franchise win.
For all Beacons' fan that attends the game Friday will receive a collector's insert provided by The Times Herald introducing your 2002 - 2003 Port Huron Beacons.
The Beacons have a full packed night of promotions; give a-ways, and special activities through out the entire night. Tickets are still available for the home opener by contacting the Beacons office at (810) 989-9701.
