Beacons Roster Reaches Fourteen

PORT HURON-MI- The Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League (UHL) are proud to announce the signing of Defenseman, Chad Dameworth to the 2004-05 roster.

Chad Dameworth, 32, is a Marquette, Michigan native and played his college hockey at Northern Michigan University. The 13-year veteran has spent parts of those 13 years in four separate leagues, the AHL, ECHL, IHL and UHL; Of those years he spent four in the International Hockey League (IHL) with the Orlando Solar Bears, Detroit Vipers, Fort Wayne Komets and the Milwaukee Admirals and seven years in the AHL playing for the Cape-Breton Oilers, Worchester IceCats, Springfield Falcons, Kentucky Thoroughblades and Manchester Monarchs.

In 1998 Dameworth played 32 games for the Port Huron Border Cats before heading further South to play for the Detroit Vipers (IHL). During his time in the Border Cat sweater Dameworth had 6 goals, 7 assists for 13 points and 31 penalty minutes.

With the addition of Dameworth, the Beacons roster expands to 14. Previously the Beacons had signed Aaron Brand, Joe Sewell, Jason Firth, Mat Goody, Josh Tataryn, Jamie Young, Scott Gouthro, David Beauregard, Riku Rahikainen, Mark Lindsay, Ian Jacobs, Chris Sotiropoulos and Chris Cloutier.
