Bayou Bucks Prepare for New Orleans Tryout

HOUMA, LAâCoach Jack Phillips of the Bayou Bucks would like to remind everyone of the team's upcoming open tryout to be taken place in New Orleans. The tryout will be held on Saturday January 17, 2004 at the James W. Wilson Center on the campus of Tulane University. All prospective players must be present for registration that is set to begin at 8:30 A.M. A nonrefundable $50.00 fee will charged for each participant.
When asked about the upcoming tryout Coach Phillips responded, "As a New Orleans native, I know there is a tremendous amount of talent there that can help the Bucks be successful." Phillips went on to say that "Last season a large portion of our roster hailed from the south Louisiana area."
The Bayou Bucks, Houma's National Indoor Football League franchise, starts their 2004 campaign on the road on March 12 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Season tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling (985) 851-3600.
