
BayHawks Acquire Karrington Ward

Erie BayHawks News Release
Erie, Pennsylvania, December 28 - The Erie BayHawks, the NBA Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, announced today Karrington Ward has been claimed from the available player pool. He is not expected to immediately join the team.
Ward, a 6-foot-7, 189 pound forward was selected by the Bakersfield Jam in the 2015-16 NBA Development League Draft (second round, first overall) and traded to the Maine Red Claws on draft night. He was waived by the Red Claws on December 22. Ward did not appear in any games for Maine.
Ward played two years at Eastern Michigan University. He averaged 12.4 and 12.5 points in his junior and senior seasons while adding 6.5 rebounds. In his senior season, he appeared in 37 games, starting 36. His accolades at EMU include All-MAC Third team (2014) and All-MAC Honorable Mention (2015) honors.
