Mobile BayBears News Release
MOBILE, Ala. (April 29) - Following Wednesday's 8-1 loss to the Birmingham Barons at Hank Aaron Stadium, the Mobile BayBears and Arizona Diamondbacks announced the following roster moves. Relief pitcher Vince Bongiovanni has been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays organization for future considerations. Bongiovanni was 2-0 with a 6.00 ERA in his first five appearances this season. He was 3-3 with a 4.40 ERA and 3 saves in 42 appearances for the BayBears last season. Relief pitcher Reid Mahon will join Double-A Mobile in Jacksonville on Thursday night prior to their contest with the Suns. Mahon had a 3.07 ERA with 18 saves as a BayBear in 2008. He posted 6 saves last season for Triple-A Tucson.
