Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA (October 23, 2007)-The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings have announced their first annual Fall Football Fan Fest to be held Monday, October 29, 2007 at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City. The event will begin at 6:00PM and will include an auction of the team's game-worn jerseys, trick-or-treating for the kids and an opportunity for fans to pick their seats for the 2008 season.

"We wanted to do something to thank our fans," said Head Coach Jon Norris. "2007 was really an historic season for this franchise and the fans were a huge part of it. But, we feel like it's only the start. Our motto for 2008 is: 'The Winning Is Just Beginning'".

The public is invited to attend the Fall Football Fan Fest which will kick off with "Halloween With The BattleWings" with kids of all ages being able to trick-or-treat the suites inside the CenturyTel Center before moving to the lower bowl for the auction and introduction of 2008 Season Ticket plans.

"This is a chance for us to provide a safe, indoor opportunity for children to trick-or-treat," added General Manager Butch Bellah. "We'll have a coach, player, dance team member and maybe even our mascot Winger in the suites to entertain the little ones. We're looking forward to a fun night for everyone."

"There really is no 'off-season' for us any more," said owner Dan Newman. "We're going to use Monday night as a brief look back on a great 2007 season and then it's back to work on 2008."

Newman just returned from af2 League meetings in Chicago and expects the BattleWings' 2008 schedule to be announced within the next month.
