Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA (March 20, 2008)- The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings have announced the formation of The BattleWings' Radio Network-adding three additional affiliates to their flagship station KSYR 92.1 FM in Shreveport.
Fans throughout the Ark-La-Tex will be able to listen to the games live on KWLV FM 107.1 in Many, KGAS 104.3FM in Carthage, Texas and KMHT 103.9 FM in Marshall, Texas.
"We're very excited about broadening the scope of our game broadcasts," said BattleWings' general manager Butch Bellah. "With the stations we have, arena football fans throughout the Ark-La-Tex won't have to miss a down of the action in 2008."
Additionally, the BattleWings are working with KNBB-ESPN 97.7 in Ruston, LA to carry at least part of the 2008 schedule.
"ESPN 97.7 had some conflicts with other programming, but it looks like they'll be able to pick up at least the second half of the season."
With all the affiliates in place, BattleWings' games will be heard from Natchitoches, LA to Shreveport and from Monroe, LA to Longview, TX.
"It's truly a win-win," Bellah added. "Our sponsors get their message delivered to a huge audience and we get to expose more people to the excitement of arena football."
The BattleWings open their 2008 season on Saturday, March 29 at 7:00PM at the CenturyTel Center.
