Battery Partner with 5v5 Soccer Tour for July 22 Tournament at Patriots Point

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Battery are excited to partner with the 5v5 Soccer National Tour to host the tournament at Patriots Point on Sat., July 22.

The tournament will run from 9 a.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET, ahead of the Battery's match against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at 7:30 p.m. the same day. Games will take place at the Mount Pleasant recreation fields next to the Battery's stadium at Patriots Point. Every participating player will receive a ticket to the Pittsburgh match.

Participating teams are guaranteed to play four games, which include two 12-minute halves. Squads will be comprised of four field players and one goalkeeper, with a maximum team size of 10 players. It is open to all players, from those born in 2016 to adults.

Registration is currently open and teams can save money by registering and paying by July 12. The final deadline to register is July 16.

The top three teams will receive medals and qualify for the 5v5 Soccer Nationals in Central Florida on Nov. 18-19 later this year.
