Battery Continues Road Trip at Dayton

Charleston, SC. The Charleston Battery (3-1-0) are on the road again this Friday, May 3 in Dayton, OH to take on the Dayton Dutch Lions (2-1-0). The game will kick off at 7 PM and will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1450 AM WQNT. The Battery are coming off of a 2-1 win against the Harrisburg City Islanders going into Friday's game.

Mike Azira and Nicki Paterson provided the goals as Charleston won its third straight game Wednesday night in Harrisburg. The Battery are currently sitting in fourth place with nine points in the USL PRO standings.

The Dayton Dutch Lions (2-1-0), are still a young organization; founded in 2009 they played a year in the PDL and are now entering their third season in the USL PRO.

The Battery and Dutch Lions met twice last season with the Battery winning the first meeting and the teams playing to a draw in last years regular season finale.

The Battery are back home this Saturday, May 11 for a rematch of last year's USL PRO Championship game against nearby rival, Wilmington Hammerheads.

Viewing Party

There will be a viewing party for Friday's match at Molly Darcy's Irish Pub located at 235 East Bay Street, downtown Charleston. The game will also be broadcast live on SportsRadio1450 AM presented by the Angie Gainey Bailey Real Estate Team and will be streamed live at www.USLnation.com.

Dragon Boat Festival

Following the games this week the Charleston Battery will compete as a team in the Dragon Boat Charleston Festival on Saturday, May 4 at Brittlebank Park. The Battery are the defending champions in the men's division; for more information please visit: www.dragonboatcharleston.org.
