Albany Patroons News Release

Today, over 30 great kids from St Catherine's Center for Children attended a holiday basketball clinic at the Washington Avenue Armory, conducted by Albany Patroon Head Coach Derrick Rowland, Patroon players and the Albany Sports Foundation. Everyone had a great time, learning about basketball skills, teamwork, working hard and having fun doing it! All kids were treated to snacks and authographs by a great group of players and volunteers. Kids were invited back, courtesy of the Sports Foundation and the Patroons to cheer on their new favorite team this Saturday night against the NYC Internationalz! Long time community leader and head coach Rowland, thanked St. Catherine's for their involvement and re-emphasized the Patroon's dedication to the youth of the capital region and the legacy of the Patroon's as an important community asset. The Sports Foundation, in partnership with the Patroons sincerely wish to thank the Patroons and look forward to several more games and youth basketball clinics this winter.
