
Barracudas Streak Reaches Seven Games

LAKELAND, Fla. - The Jacksonville Barracudas winning streak has reached seven games with a 5-3 win tonight on the road over the Lakeland Loggerheads.
Derek Toninato, Klage Kaebel, and Chris Hackett picked up a goal and an assist each to lead the Barracudas to their seventh win in a row. The win gives the Barracudas a five-point lead over second place Orlando.
Goaltender Brandon Snee was strong between the pipes making 30 saves for his fifth win of the season. Rookie winger Mike Wirll scored his fifth goal of the season and his fifth point in the last three games (4g-1a). Chad Gromek scored the other Barracudas goal while Greg Capson and Jamie Miller each added a pair of assists.
Tonight's game was the first of six on the road for the first place Barracudas (10-2-0, 20 pts.) The Barracudas travel to Macon on Thursday night, Miami on Friday, and Orlando on Saturday night. The Cudas travel to Miami and Orlando next week before returning home for a New Years Eve match-up with the Alabama Slammers.
