
Barracudas sign Tony Maci, release Koslakiewicz

Today, the Jacksonville Barracudas Hockey Club announced that they have signed defenseman Tony Maci. In order to make room for the addition, the Barracudas have released defenseman Joe Koslakiewicz to waivers.
Maci, 25, is beginning his first professional season, having completed his four-year career at NCAA Division 1 school St. Lawrence University. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound blue liner scored 2 goals and 15 assists to go along with 68 penalty minutes in the 83 games he played in Div. 1. Koslakiewicz played in all 5 games for the Barracudas this season, scoring no points, and carrying a -3 rating.
The Barracudas won a thrilling overtime game against the Knoxville Ice Bears Thursday night, and look to continue their winning ways as they head into Fayetteville to face-off against the FireAntz. Game time in Fayetteville is 7:30 pm. The Barracudas will be back home Saturday night, as they have a rematch against the Pee Dee Cyclones. The puck drops at 7:05pm at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.
