Jacksonville Barracudas News Release
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Barracudas Head Coach Ron Duguay today announced that forwards John McCabe and Chris Harper will again return to the Barracudas for the 2003-2004 season.
McCabe, a 6'4", 220 lb. Sudbury, Ontario native, played 24 games with the Barracudas last season collecting 15 points. He also served as Assistant Coach for the Barracudas.
"John provides strong leadership qualities on and off the ice. He's a big power forward that gives us a lot of strength offensively," said Duguay.
Harper, a 22 year-old Winger out of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, was tied for 4th in goals (14) last season while playing in only 33 games.
"Chris is the typical player we're looking for that plays with a lot of emotion. He's blessed with a lot of speed that gives him scoring opportunities," said Duguay.
The Jacksonville Barracudas of the WHA2, will face off against the Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, Miami Manatee, Orlando Seals, and a yet-to-be-named Central Alabama team in late October in the brand new Jacksonville Arena.
