
Barracudas on the Road again

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. â With 15 of their first 25 games on the road and in the books, the first place Barracudas (18-6-1, 37 points) hit the road again for a three more as they travel to Alabama on Thursday night and games in Macon on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Cudas return to Alabama for the first time since sweeping the Slammers on the opening weekend back in November. The Barracudas haven't lost to the Slammers all season. Their last meeting was a "shootout" as both teams combined for 10 goals with Lyle Steenbergen and Klage Kaebel scoring two goals each. Rookie goaltender Randy Hevey earned his first professional win.
On Friday and Saturday night, the Barracudas travel to Macon for two of three with the Trax. Jacksonville is 6-0 against Macon this season and leads the overall series 10-7. The Cudas won the last meeting with the Trax 5-2 as John and Jay McCabe torched Macon for seven points between them (2g-5a).
The Barracudas return home on Saturday, January 24th to wrap up the three-game series with Macon. Face-off time is 7:05. The Inaugural WHA2 All-Star Game is coming to Jacksonville on Tuesday, January 27th. "Hockey on the River" features the Jacksonville Barracudas taking on the best of the WHA2. Mike Eruzione, captain for the "Miracle on Ice" 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team will be on hand for all the All-Star Game festivities. Great All-Star ticket packages are available.
