Jacksonville Barracudas News Release
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Barracudas VP/GM Scott Allerding today announced that the Barracudas have teamed up with Spectacor Management Group (SMG), and Levy Restaurants to offer hockey fans free tickets, and free concessions to make up for problems on opening night.
Fans are invited to the Barracudas game on Saturday, December 13th against the Lakeland Loggerheads. Every fan in attendance will receive a voucher for a free hotdog and soft drink. They will also have the opportunity to go to the Barracudas tables set up in the main concourse for free tickets to the New Years Eve game against the Alabama Slammers.
"We are going to do this on the honor system," Allerding said. "If you tell us that you came to the game with a group of eight people from your softball team, we'll give you eight tickets. If you tell us that you came with your father and son, we'll give you three tickets," Allerding explained.
For season ticket holders, the Barracudas will offer them their season ticket seats for free at the WHA2 All-Star Game on January 27th when the Barracudas take on the best of the WHA2.
"This gives fans a chance to come to another hockey game and get something for free," Allerding said. "They can pick up tickets to the New Years Eve game no questions asked."
The Barracudas hit the road Friday night against the Macon Trax. Saturday night, the Barracudas host the Miami Manatees at the new Arena. The first 1,500 fans receive free Barracudas pucks compliments of Benjamin Moore with live entertainment from the Zooperstars. Then Sunday, it's the Barracudas first visit with the Lakeland Loggerheads.
