Oklahoma City Barons News Release
Oklahoma City - Game 4 of the American Hockey League's Western Conference Final between Oklahoma City and Grand Rapids will be played tonight at 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. Game 5 will be played Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.
The game originally scheduled for Friday, May 31 was postponed. Severe weather moved through the downtown Oklahoma City area around 6:30 p.m. The arena was evacuated to the parking garage below ground. The arena suffered severe leaking and flooding during the storm. In the interest of the safety of the players, fans and staff, it was deemed play could not begin.
"Mother Nature has provided the citizens of Central Oklahoma many challenges over the last two weeks," said Prodigal CEO Bob Funk Jr. "Now that June has arrived, the Oklahoma City Barons are offering fans an opportunity to take their mind off of the weather and enjoy a Calder Cup playoff game. Fans from areas impacted by the storms from the last two weeks are invited to attend the Barons game June 1 or 2 at no charge."
Fans impacted by the storm interested in attending either game this weekend need simply to show their identification with proof of residency at the Cox Convention Center Box Office on June 1 or 2.
