Oklahoma City Barons News Release
Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons are looking for new and gently used stuffed animals for donation to EMSA at the team's Teddy Bear Toss at tomorrow night's game.
Fans are asked to bring new or gently loved stuffed animals to the game. When the Barons score their first goal against the Peoria Rivermen, the fans will be asked to throw their stuffed animals toward the ice. The stuffed animals will be collected and donated to EMSA for use in breaking the ice with children who have been involved in a traumatic incident.
The Barons Teddy Bear Toss is presented by Chesapeake Energy, America's Champion of Natural Gas and supported by Oklahoma City's FOX & CW.
Teddy Bear Toss night is one part of the Barons night geared toward holiday fun. The game will also feature over 700 children from local elementary school choirs singing holiday carols during the intermissions as part of the Barons second annual Sing for Santa event.
Fans who bring a new or gently loved stuffed animal to the box office will earn a $4 discount on a ticket for a future game as well as discount offers from Science Museum Oklahoma. Faceoff is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center against the Peoria Rivermen, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues.
-BARONS- NOTE: The Barons downed the Houston Aeros earlier today in a shootout 2-1. The win moves the Barons into first place in the West Division of the AHL and their 17 wins is the most in the league.
