Barons Release 2008 Promo Schedule

HOOVER, Ala. - The Birmingham Barons posted Monday the full 2008 promotions schedule, which is available online at barons.com. The schedule features theme nights, special visiting performers, and the usual gamut of nightly promotions. All promotions are subject to change without notice.

Nearly every night of the week will have a special theme or promotion this season, and they are as follows:

-Mondays: "Belly Buster Monday" (all-you-can-eat menus)

-Tuesdays: Quarter Hot Dogs and ZOO Day

-Thursdays: Thirsty Thursday (dollar drinks and 20-cent boneless wings)

-Fridays: Friday Night Fireworks

-Saturdays: Super Saturday Fireworks and $5 Little Caesars Hot-N-Ready Pizzas

-Sundays: Dreamland Ribs available

The annual fireworks extravaganza Pyro-Palooza (formerly SKYFEST) will be held on Saturday, August 9.

This season will also feature guest appearances by famed performers Reggy, BirdZerk!, the ZOOperstars, Myron Noodleman, Jake the Diamond Dog, and Star Wars characters, as well as cartoon characters Arthur, Dora the Explorer, and Diego.

Special giveaways include Frank Thomas Bobble-heads, Magnet Schedules, Poster Schedules, Adult Caps, Kids Bicycle Helmets, Commemorative Trophy Caps, Kids Bat Bags, Kids Jerseys, and 2009 Southern League All-Star Game T-shirts.

Individual theme nights include Parent Appreciation Day, High School Musical On Ice Night, Webkinz Night, Peanut-Free Night, Church Night, Military Appreciation Night, Christmas in July, Guaranteed Win Night, Teen Safe Driver Night, Talladega Superspeedway Night, Football Jersey Night, Bald Is Beautiful Night, and Tribute to the Mullet Night.
