Cleveland Barons News Release
CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Barons completed their 80-game regular season schedule with an 8-3 victory against Cincinnati on Saturday night. The Barons finished the season in a third-place tie with Rochester in the North Division, clinching their first berth in the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs. Since the Barons and Americans have the same amount of victories this season (37), the tiebreaker falls to head-to-head standings. Rochester holds the edge in the season series making the Barons the fourth seed in the North Division.
The fourth seed in each division is required to play a best-of-three series against the fifth seed (Toronto), all at the fourth seed's home arena. Due to scheduling conflicts with Gund Arena, the Barons will host the Toronto Roadrunners at IceLand USA in Strongsville. IceLand USA is located on 15382 Royalton Road.
The Barons will host the Toronto Roadrunners on Thursday, April 15th at 7pm, Saturday, April 17th at 7pm, and, if necessary, Sunday, April 18th at 4pm. Fans can purchase the three-game playoff package for $30. Single-game tickets are available as well for $10 per ticket. Full Season Ticket Holders will have a reserved general admission seating section, while all other seating is general admission. Parking for the games is free of charge.
Qualifying Round tickets can be purchased through the Cleveland Barons front office by calling 216-420-0000 or at IceLand USA beginning Monday afternoon. Seating is very limited.
