
Barons Hosting NHL Draft Watch Party Tomorrow Night

The Oklahoma City Barons will host an NHL Draft watch party June 25 at the Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown OKC.
Join fellow hockey fans and the Barons staff as the next generation of NHL stars is chosen in the 2010 NHL Draft. The Barons NHL Draft watch party is open to the public and begins at 6 p.m. in the restaurant / lounge area of the Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown OKC. Parking is complimentary in the garage on the south side of the hotel. Please pull a ticket upon entry and have it validated inside.
For the evening of June 25th only, the Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown OKC will offer Barons fans a special discounted rate so they can stay the night after the event and enjoy all Bricktown has to offer. Space is limited and based on availability. For reservations, contact the sales department at 605-7643. At the end of the evening, the Oklahoma City Barons Barons and Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown OKC will give a special prize pack to one lucky fan.
Oklahoma City's parent club, the Edmonton Oilers, own the first pick in the 2010 NHL Draft. It marks the first time ever the Oilers have had the #1 overall selection and the first time since 1993 that a Canadian team has earned the top choice in the draft.
Oklahoma City's newest hockey team will play in the American Hockey League. The AHL, currently completing its 74th season of play, serves as the primary developmental league for all 30 NHL teams. Over 85 percent of players currently playing in the NHL are graduates of the AHL. The AHL is played in major North American cities such as Houston, San Antonio, Chicago, Austin, Cleveland, Milwaukee and Charlotte.
