Birmingham Barons News Release

Tonight's game between the Birmingham Barons and Chattanooga Lookouts was suspended with one out in the fourth inning. The game will be resumed tomorrow starting at 5:00 PM. The Barons jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first on an RBI single by Dan Black and a sacrifice fly for Andy Wilkins. The RBI was Black's Southern League leading 24th of the season.

The lead increased to 4-0 in the second when Mike Blanke ripped a double down the left-field line to score Tyler Saladino. Blanke would score later in the inning on an RBI groundout by Keenyn Walker.

Mother nature took over in the fourth, causing the game to be suspended due to rain. The game will resume tomorrow afternoon starting at 5:00 PM CDT from the point of the suspension. 30 minutes after the completion of the game, the Barons and Lookouts will play a 7-inning contest.
