After a disappointing 12-2 loss on Wednesday, Birmingham bounced back with a 16-4 trouncing of Rocket City on Thursday.

Sean Burke was immense in his five innings to start. The righty gave up two runs and struck out eight batters in his first win of the season.

His run support commenced in the third inning with a Lenyn Sosa RBI single. Three more runs came in the fourth inning. Sosa singled in Jose Rodriguez after his middle infield partner doubled in two runs.

The star of the show was Craig Dedelow who ripped two home runs for the first time since September of last year against the Trash Pandas. Dedelow finished with five runs driven in.
