The Cleveland Barons are proud to announce the signing of defenseman Jon Miller to a playing tender for the 2004-05 season.
Miller, a 6'4", 205 lb defenseman from Freehold, NJ is currently playing Cleveland Barons Midget Major team. Currently in 36 games, Miller has 3 goals 9 assists for 12 points with 52 PIMs and a plus 14 rating. Last season, Miller played for the Toronto Bantam Marlies and had 1 g and 36 assists. Barons Midget Major Coach Chris Lepkowski has this to say about Miller. "I was asked to look for players that could be potential junior A players, when I first saw Jon play , I knew that he fit that criteria." Jon so far has played in 5 junior A games this season where he was a plus 1. Barons Head Coach /GM Tim Alexander says;" Jon will be a great asset to our squad next season., he has all the tools to be a big time player in this league. In time, he should be a quality division 1 player. "
Miller has made the US select program as a 14 ,15 and 16 year old representing the Atlantic region squad. Miller is currently attending Padua Franciscan High School where carries a 3.0.
