Reno Barons News Release
RENO, NV (November 3, 2010) - Reno Barons General Manager Tim Pierce this morning announced the following promotion within the coaching staff: Jarrod Rogol will now serve as Assistant Head Coach in addition to Special Teams Coordinator. Rogol was hired as Special Teams Coordinator at the conclusion of the Barons' first open tryout back on September 17, 2010. During the announcement, Pierce had the following comments, "When we brought Coach Rogol into tryouts, he worked extremely well with the players and the players immediately respected him." Pierce went on adding, "Since he accepted the position of Special Teams Coordinator, Coach Rogol has lived up to and exceeded his reputation for being a hard worker in dealing with football operations and has put the Barons franchise in a spot to be major contenders. With that said, last night we offered Coach Rogol the position of Assistant Head Coach due to his track record and based on discussions with sources within the National Football League saying that he will be on a NFL staff in the next few seasons."
"When I got the call last night from our owner Chez Jennings, I was very humbled to receive this promotion," stated Rogol. "We are far from starting our season and have much more to do in order to put a championship team on the field for the city of Reno, which is my only goal."
Reno Barons Head Coach Major Harris added the following comments, "Having Jarrod on my staff has proven to be invaluable to the Barons. His efforts have helped establish a solid foundation for a successful franchise."
The Reno Barons will have at least six home games played at the Reno Events Center in 2011. Visit the Barons at www.renobarons.com, on Twitter at twitter.com/GoBarons and on Facebook by searching Reno Barons Fan Page.
