
Barons Acquire Matt Shouneyia

The Cleveland Barons are proud to announce the acquisition of forward Matt Shouneyia from the Danville Wings of the USHL. Shouneyia , a 1985 birth year, played for the Compuware Ambassadors last season, having 11 goals and 10 assists with 66 penalty minutes in 56 games. The Bloomfield Hills, MI native was originally acquired from the Ambassadors in the NAHL dispersal draft.
General Manager/Coach Tim Alexander says; "The acquisition of Matt Shouneyia today should make us much deeper, that will give our team the best chance at success over this long season."
Shouneyia will make his Baron debut Friday night at the Team Toledo IceDiggers, game time 7:30.
