
Bandits Sign Steenhuis to One-Year Deal

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed transition player Mark Steenhuis to a one-year contract, pending league approval.
Steenhuis (5'9", 192 lbs., 12/3/1980) returns for his 17th season with the Bandits. In 223 career games, Steenhuis has totaled 906 points (405+501) and recovered 1,299 loose balls. He is currently the longest tenured player on the Bandits roster and ranks second in franchise history in games played (266), goals (459), assists (554), points (1,013) and loose balls (1,641). The St. Catharines, Ontario, native was named the Transition Player of the Year and earned All-Pro First Team honors in 2008 and All-Pro Second Team honors in 2009.
Steenhuis played in 11 regular-season games with the Bandits last season, posting 13 points (4+9) and collecting 30 loose balls.
