Buffalo Bandits News Release
Buffalo, NY (October 5, 2004) -- Buffalo Bandits General Manager Kurt Silcott today announced the team's protected list for the upcoming Minnesota Expansion Draft that will take place later this month. The exact date has yet to be determined.
"This was a very difficult decision, we know we are going to lose a quality player, a starter most likely," stated Silcott. "Thankfully, we believe we have the depth to sustain such a blow to our team and we'll be able to move on with a quality lineup."
As is procedure for the expansion draft, each team is allowed to protect either 10 runners and 2 goalies or 13 runners and a goaltender from being selected by Minnesota. Minnesota will then draft a total of 10 players, one from each of the current member clubs, with no team losing more than one player. Below is a listing of the protected members of the Bandits' team.
