
Bandits Ink Weiss to One-Year Deal

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed transition player Nick Weiss to a one-year deal.
Weiss (6'2", 207 lbs., 8/16/1992) finished the 2018-19 season recording 14 points (5+9) and playing in all 18 regular-season games for the second consecutive season. He ranked third on the Bandits in caused turnovers (16) and won a career high 62 faceoffs. His 107 loose balls recovered ranked third on the team and marked his second straight 100-loose ball season. Weiss recorded two points (1+1) in four postseason games with the Bandits.
Weiss enters his seventh NLL season and sixth with the Bandits after being acquired from Vancouver prior to the 2015 season. In 87 career games, Weiss has totaled 80 points (37+43) and recovered 518 loose balls, setting career highs during the 2017-18 season in goals (9), assists (13) and points (22). The Port Hope, Ontario native has played in nine career postseason games, all for the Bandits, scoring three goals and adding six assists. Weiss was drafted by the Vancouver Stealth in the second round (17th overall) of the 2013 NLL Entry Draft.
