
Bandits capture three points in weekend trip to Wichita Falls

The St. Louis Bandits recorded their 45th point of the season with a hard fought 4-3 shootout loss to the Wichita Falls Wildcats on Saturday evening. Zachary Rourke scored the only goal of the first period for the Wildcats at 9:16 of the period. The Bandits responded with a flurry of goals in the second period with powerplay goals from Soren Jonzzon and Dan Weiss, and a shorthanded goal from Clinton Bourbonais to give the Bandits a 3-1 lead after two periods of play. Brett Hartung notched a couple of third period goals for the Wildcats to even the score at three.
The game remained tied at the end of regulation, and the two teams headed to overtime for the second time in as many nights. After a scoreless overtime period, the game proceeded to a five round shootout. Soren Jonzzon and Dan Weiss converted on their shootout attempts for the Bandits, and Wichita Falls' Chad Hudson, Kyle Delaurell, and Zachary Rourke scored on their attempts to give the Wildcats a 4-3 shootout win.
