
Bandits Acquire D Phil Sanderson From Toronto

BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 16, 2007) -- Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Dave Zygaj announced today the Bandits have acquired defenseman Phil Sanderson from the Toronto Rock in exchange for their first round selection in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft.
Sanderson has appeared in nine games with the Rock this season, recording three goals and three assists, as well as a team-leading 75 loose balls. An eight year NLL veteran, the 5-foot-9, 175 lb. Sanderson has 86 points (21G, 65A) in 114 career games with Albany, San Jose, and Toronto. The Orangeville, ON-native has 825 career loose balls. He was also a member of Toronto's Champion's Cup-winning team in 2005. In 2003, Sanderson finished with a career-high 18 points (4G, 14A).
Buffalo made another roster move yesterday, releasing forward Tony Henderson. Henderson appeared in one game for the Bandits this season.
