Baltimore Blackbirds Set to Play at 1st Mariner Arena

The Baltimore Blackbirds are proud to announce they will be calling 1st Mariner Arena, in Baltimore, Maryland home for their inaugural season. 1st Mariner, which seats over 11,000 fans will be one of the largest arenas in the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA). 1st Mariner has a proud tradition dating back to 1962, with legends such as The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, the Supremes, and more taking the stage and today's audiences have been thrilled by such major stars as Brittany Spears, Toby Keith, The Eagles, Kanye West, Rascal Flatts, and U2.

1st Mariner is the home of the defending Major Indoor Soccer League Champions, the Baltimore Blast, and has a legendary sports history as the former home of the Baltimore Clippers of the AHL and Baltimore Bullets of the NBA, as well as hosting NCAA basketball tournament games, pro wrestling, boxing and more.

The Blackbirds are currently scheduled to host the Carolina Speed on March 31, 2007 and the Montgomery Bears on April 14, 2007 at 1st Mariner Arena. Additional dates will be announced in the near future and tickets will be available in the through the Arena's box office and Ticketmaster.com.
