Amarillo, TX 4/29/10- KVII-Television Sports Director Lee Baker will take on the color analyst duties this Saturday night when the Amarillo Venom face the Abilene Ruff Riders at the Amarillo Civic Center.
Working in broadcasting since 1980, Baker joined KVII-TV in 1988. The Indiana University alum has served as the station's sports director since 1995.
"Lee brings a keen eye for the game of football to the broadcast booth," remarked Venom General Manager Joe Morgado. "His coverage of high school to professional sports in the Panhandle of Texas is bar none."
The Vietnam veteran served four years in the Navy after high school before working in radio and then television. Baker joined KFDA-TV in 1983 where he transitioned to KVII-TV in 1988. Saturday's broadcast will mark Baker's debut with the Amarillo Venom broadcast team.
Fans may listen to Lee Baker this Saturday beginning at 6:55pm CST on 1440 AM ESPN Radio or online via the B2 Networks.
