Bahama All Pro Show Introduces New Head Coach
January 12, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Bahama Pro Show News Release
Miami, FL. Owner/GM Ricardo Smith of the ABA Miami-based Bahama All Pro Show announced the appointment of veteran player Steven "Stretch" Culmer as the head coach effective immediately. "He is just a natural fit because of his wealth of knowledge and playing experience," said Smith. "He is well respected on the team and players look up to him and already seek his advice on their games and how they can improve."
"This is another challenge for "Stretch" and an opportunity that he deserves," added Smith. "I place every confidence in him and I am sure he will do his best.
"I am very excited to be in this position," stated Culmer. "While I am 47 and am still playing, I am ready to all that I can in sharing all of my knowledge to make this a better team. I had a number of major tasks on my table last year, being elected to lead the Bahamas Government Departmental Basketball Association (BGDBA), being selected to play on this history making basketball team and now I add the job of Head Coach. I look forward to making my mark and winning a championship.
Coach Culmer is the team's second head coach and the second Bahamian to ever coach a professional basketball team. For more information, visit www.bahamaallproshow.com or www.abalive.com.
