
Baby Cal Attends Children's Miracle Network Fundraiser Wednesday

This Week In Condorstown:
Monday, May 14th: Condors mascot Baby Cal and Community Relations Manager Jill Watts attended Voorhies Elementary's "Drug Free Week" Celebration at 8:45 a.m. Baby Cal rallied alongside Foothill high school cheerleaders to pump up students at their kick- off event to stress the importance of saying "no" to drugs and alcohol. Special guest speakers like Mayor Harvey Hall and student body officers gave important speeches on how to live a drug-free life.
Wednesday, May 16th: Condors mascot Baby Cal will be at the KGET-TV 17 studios, located at 2120 L Street, to help raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network at noon. Donations will go towards specials needs kids in intensive care unit cribs and will be accepted in person or by calling 978- 8550 between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Thursday, May 17th: Watts will be a Celebrity Reader at Buena Vista Elementary, located at 6547 Buena Vista Rd., at 8:45 a.m., to emphasize the importance of reading in life and the professional world.
Thursday, May 17th: Condors mascot Baby Cal will attend the Bakersfield Blaze's Field Trip Game at 10 a.m. Students from around Kern County will be in attendance to learn the connection between sports and education.
Thursday, May 17th: The Condors will take part in the Downtown Business Association's Street Fair starting at 6:30 p.m., providing their inflatable slapshot and information on their upcoming 10th anniversary season. This year's event focuses on emergency medical services and will feature a Street Fair bike race. Log onto www.bakersfielddba.net for more information.
Friday, May 18th: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd will attend Evergreen Elementary's end of the year carnival at 4:30 p.m. Colonel Claw'd will be present to congratulate students for a job well done and hand out prizes. Evergreen Elementary is located at 2600 Rose Marie Dr.

Thursday, May 10th: Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd attended Standard Elementary's end-of-year Renaissance Carnival.
Saturday, May 12th: Condors mascots Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal attended a kick- off event at Saunders Park to update the community on the new fully functional roller hockey rink to open within the next year. The LA Kings Chariot was present, providing families the opportunity to play roller hockey and use an inflatable slapshot.
