(Yuma, AZ. Feburary 5, 2011): The Arizona Winter League continued their month long baseball tournament with five games on Saturday with four out of five games lighting up the scoreboard.

Saskatchewan SilverSox 10

Yuma Scorpions 8

The Saskatchewan SilverSox (2-0) came out of the gates swinging scoring eight runs in the first two innings off "The Knuckleball Princess" Eri Yoshida. JJ Muse and Victor Valdez combined for eight RBI's. The Yuma Scorpions (1-1) tried to muster a comeback but came up short losing 10-8 in front of a huge crowd. WP- Justin Mazur (1-0), LP- Eri Yoshida (0-1), SV- Curtis Vail (1), HR - J. Jebbia (1).

Western Canada Miners 14

San Diego Surf Dawgs 6

The Western Canada Miners (1-1) sent the San Diego Surf Dawgs (0-2) to their 2nd straight loss to start off the AWL in a 14-6 loss. The Miners scored runs in six of the seven innings, including a seven run sixth inning. Wade Townsend picked up three RBIs and Steve Mays stole three bases in the victory. WP - Jared Simon (1-0), LP - Joe Snider (0-1).

Arizona Roadrunners 4

Blyth Heat 22

The Blythe Heat (2-0) stand atop the American Division after turning up the heat on the Arizona Roadrunners (1-1) in a blowout victory. Blythe got major contributions from David Carter, Brandon Howard, and Shane Beath, who hit in three, four, and six runs respectively. Quinn Bright through five innings of giving up three runs on three hits while striking out six hitters in his first victory of the year. WP - Quinn Bright (1-0), LP - Ryne Houselog (0-1), HR - Michael Derr (1).

Long Beach Armada 0

Team Mexico 9

Team Mexico (1-1) blanked the Long Beach Armada (0-2) 9-0 to hand the Armada their second loss of the early year. Chase Davenport (1-0) pitched the first complete game in the Arizona Winter League this year, pitching a scoreless seven innings giving up two hits while striking out four. Will Dimmitt and Robert Bargewell both knocked in two RBIs to help out Davenport's cause. WP - Davenport (1-0), LP - Eric Yeary (0-1).

Sonora Pilots 2

Team Canada 4

Coming off a walk-off loss in the opening game of the season, Team Canada (1-1) came back to double up the Sonora Pilots (1-1) in a 4-2 victory. Team Canada was fueled by a strong pitching performance by Kevin Patterson (1-0), who pitched five scoreless innings giving up just one hit while striking gout seven Pilots. Jeffrey Giacomini knocked in his first two RBIs of the season to help out Patterson in his victory. WP - Patterson (1-0), LP - Carlos Gonzalez (0-1).
