After a gruelling month of 15 games 19 days the playoffs are set in the 2011 Arizona Winter League. Shannon Hunt's Saskatchewan Silver Sox swept a pair of games on Wednesday by huge scores over San Diego and Arizona to finish atop the International Division Standings with a record of 11-4. The SilverSox edged Morgan Burkhart's Team Canada for top spot with Brooks Carey's Western Canada Miners claiming third in that division and the number 4 seed overall in the playoff picture.

Darryl Brinkley's Yuma Scorpions also had a huge day erasing leads by Blythe and then Western Canada in the top of the seventh inning of each game to finish atop the American Division standings with a record of 10-6.

Mike Marshall's Sonora Pilots split a pair of games on Wednesday to finish with the fifth seed. Ced Lundrum's Blythe Heat lost the heartbreaker to Yuma to drop all the way from division champion to sixth seed in the playoffs.

The top seeds in the playoffs are:

1. Saskatchewan Silver Sox

2. Yuma Scorpions

3. Team Canada

4. Western Canada Miners

5. Sonora Pilots

6. Blythe Heat

Saskatchewan and Yuma now receive byes to host games in the semi-finals on Saturday.

Friday's playoff games are as follows.

Friday, Feb. 25

11 am - Desert Sun Stadium

Sonora vs Western Canada (home)

*winner plays Yuma at 11 am Saturday

1:30 pm - Desert Sun Stadium

Blythe vs Team Canada (home)

*winner plays Saskatchewan at 1:30 pm Saturday
